Festivals in Toronto 2015: The Toronto Food and Wine Show

The Toronto Food and Wine Show is an event over 3 delicious days comprising of mouthwatering food and beverages. The festival is just around the corner for those in Ontario between September 18th and 20th, 2015. The Food and Wine Festival showcases some of the best cuisine and beverage creators throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Canada. One of the main purposes of the event is to feature local wineries, restaurants and breweries for their gourmet food and wine dishes. Along with these local businesses come international celebrity chefs, cooking classes, and guided tastings to help your palate better comprehend the deliciousness you’re experiencing.

Here’s a list of the main events you can look forward to at the show:

1. Grand Tasting Pavilion

130 stations to sample, and enjoy food and drinks from around the city

2. Exclusive Chef Series

Take part in hands on workshops and live demonstrations with celebrity chefs, and then receive step by step instructions to create a masterpiece of your own.

3. Celebrity Stage

Food and lifestyle experts will be providing demonstrations of new cooking brands, styles all with their own entertaining personalities. The list of Celebrity experts includes; Curtis Stone, Tyler Florence, Gail Simons, Chuck Hughes, Roger Mooking, Mark McEwan and many more.

4. Taste Canada Cooks The Books Competition

Healthy Lunch

Canadian cookbook authors teach and guide student chefs in a mentoring program on the Miele Kitchen stage at the Toronto Food & Wine Festival. The competition asks students to prepare one of the dishes listed in a Canadian cookbook with the author watching them work. The winner will be deemed Canada’s Best New Student Chef.

5. Terroir

Terroir is a not-for-profit committee of hospitality industry professionals and will be holding seminars and networking events on September 18th.

6. Epic Dinner and Heritage BBQ By Cochon555

Cochon 555

5 chefs will be competing against one another by cooking a whole pig for 20 celebrity judges. Other aspects of the event includes “World’s BBQ Fair” exhibition, tastings, local competition to create pork dishes for guests to enjoy.

Don’t miss out on the Epic Dinner which features 5 Canadian and 5 American chefs working together to create a delicious meal for you to enjoy.

7. Brunch at Cafe Boulud with Daniel Boulud and Jason Bangerter

A seasonally inspired brunch featuring the best products and ingredients from Ontario will surely delight your senses. 11:30am – 2:00pm, September 19th, 2015.

The event will be held at Evergreen Brick Works located at 550 Bayview Ave
