Here’s something of interest to the Vancouver web design community; the Interlink Conference 2011 is taking place right here in Vancouver, BC in June.
The conference takes place in the Theatre for the Performing Arts at Capilano University in North Vancouver from June 2-4. This is an international web conference that promises to be a small and carefully crafted three day web event that will appeal to all internet professionals.
The Interlink conference will bring designers, developers and strategists together “to inspire each other”. The conference promises to explore new ideas, encourage discussions, share the latest techniques and talk about cutting-edge development tools.
This event will include an all-day Conference on Friday, June 3rd and a series of web workshops, presented by several well-known professionals in the field of web design, web development and usability. The workshops take place on on Thursday, June 2nd and on Saturday, June 4th.
The all-day conference on Friday, June 3rd includes eight 45-minute presentations on all aspects of web development and design, which include 10-15 minutes of open questions & answers.
Speakers at the all-day conference include Ethan Dunham of FontSpring.com (also known for creating Fontsquirrel.com), Patrick Lauke of Opera, founder and editor of 8 Faces Elliot Jay Stocks, Gavin Elliott, Jonathan Snook, Brian Hoff, Whitney Hess, Frank Chimero, Meagan Fisher, Simon Collison and many other web industry experts.
Other special events include an interactive movie night and an after party. This looks like being an excellent event and we here at SplitMango are hoping to go.
